Beneficiaries
Our beneficiaries are trusted stewards of life, working at the edges of a world in transition.

We are living within overlapping ecological and social crises that cannot be met with surface-level solutions. What is required now is emotional maturity, relational responsibility, and the capacity to act with clarity in the face of complexity.
inheritanceCOLLECTIVE exists to organize resources in support of those already engaged in this work; restoring relationship with land, protecting cultural knowledge, and creating pathways that move beyond extractive systems.

Through this movement, we redirect resources toward what sustains life, supporting efforts rooted in care, continuity, and long-term responsibility.

This is not charity.
It is a collective response to the times we are in.

Presenting Our First Beneficiary (from the prelaunch phase) Winter 2025
Festival Madremonte 2026 ~ Costa Rica

inheritanceCOLLECTIVE was born here in Costa Rica, where our founding team lives and is in relationship with the land. It felt only right that our first step be a gesture of respect and reciprocity, honoring the Indigenous communities who have long stewarded this place.
Festival Madremonte is a powerful expression of Indigenous wisdom, culture, and relationship with the land. Rooted in the spirit of Madre Monte, it honors the living systems that sustain us and the communities who have protected them for generations.

This year, the festival takes place on the Indigenous territory of Térraba, home to the Teribe people, marking a deepening of its purpose and impact.

During our prelaunch phase, inheritanceCOLLECTIVE directed 100% of proceeds to support this festival. While the total was a humble (yet helpful) 777 dollars from a small group of founding members, it proved what is possible.

We are honored to support this work. Now, we are ready to bring this vision to the world.

Our First Official Beneficiary ~ Spring 2026

If we are birthing a new world, we must also
tend to how life enters this one.
At the origin of every life is a moment of arrival. The way we are welcomed into this world shapes our sense of safety, belonging, and connection for years to come. Midwives are the guardians of this threshold, carrying ancestral knowledge that honors birth as a sacred, relational process rooted in care, dignity, and continuity.

We have chosen the Guatemalan Midwives Collective as the first official beneficiary of iC as a reflection of this truth. If we are committed to participating in the birth of a new world, we must also care for how life enters this one. Supporting midwives is a direct investment in the wellbeing of future generations and in the preservation of cultural wisdom that has sustained communities for centuries.

At Lake Atitlán, often referred to as the umbilical waters or the belly button of the world, this lineage of care runs especially deep. These midwives carry ancient traditions of womb care and women’s wisdom, tending to life at its most intimate and powerful threshold. In caring for them, we care for the collective itself by honoring those who guide birth and hold the sacred process of arrival.

Our pooled resources will go directly toward equipping midwives with essential supplies, strengthening their networks, and ensuring that this vital lineage of care can continue to serve mothers, children, and communities with integrity and resilience.
This is where we begin. By honoring birth, we honor life itself.
